The newest Chapter of the Winnebago Itasca Travelers (WIT) in Arizona, we currently are 22 coaches in number, which translates into 43 members, and we pride ourselves in having members in Northern & Central Arizona, and in the Phoenix area.

Our chapter was formed in April, 2005, with significant assistance and urging from the local Winnebago dealer - Affinity RV, in Prescott, AZ. The Yavapai Winnies had several outings in 2007, and will have many in 2008, including attendees at the Grand National Rally (GNR) in Forest City, Iowa.

Our logo speaks much about our chapter. Here are the representations and symbolism which inspired the creation of our logo:
We wanted a design that would represent our travels, and our lovely mountains of Yavapai County. The background circle represents a wheel, or the steering wheel, on our vehicles. The feathers represent the Native American aspect of our county, and are also symbolic in the shape of spokes of a wheel, or steering wheel. Further, we chose colors to represent our wonderful sun and sky, and selected the outlines of Thumb Butte and the San Francisco Peaks with a tree, to represent the beauty of nature in our county.

Our charter is to assure members that we are committed to a fun time in our rigs, travelling whenever possible, and sharing experiences and knowledge with our fellow Winnebago Owners and WIT members. We have set a goal to have or participate in as many outings/rallies as any of our members can enjoy. This includes our own outings, as well as those sponsored by The Grand Canyon Winnies - our State Club, and with any of the Arizona Chapters listed in the monthly WIT magazine.

Our Chapter dues are $10 annually, plus a one time Chapter Badge fee of $10. Most of us also join the State Club. Membership in the WIT Club is a requirement.

Please let us tell you more....and have you join us at one of our outings this year! Our members are of all ages and walks of life....we seem to learn something new from each other at each outing or rally, and share some great RV stories. And, we really enjoy some great food - some of our members are "gourmet" chefs!
