January 2010 Grand Canyon Winnies Meeting |

Arizona Valley Suntascans, local chapter, hosted the Grand Canyon Winnies, state club, for a January 14-17, 2010 meeting at Gila Bend, AZ. Augies Quail Trail RV Park has been the site of several of our meetings because of it's central location and nice meeting room. Socializing was the first order of business since many of our members had not seen each other for awhile. Friday morning we started with a potluck brunch. With full stomachs we moved outside to play Bean Bag Baseball and Snake Toss. After more "Happy Hour" socializing we enjoyed potluck supper. Our group usually completes at least one jigsaw puzzle while at this campground. This time we chose a tough puzzle and had to leave it about three fourths complete. Saturday morning started with breakfast prepared and served by the Suntascans. The state club then held their meeting with lots to discuss since we are the host chapter for the Southwest Regional Rally in Pahrump, NV on April 15-28, 2010. The local clubs then held their meetings. The afternoon was free for those AZ Cardinal Fans to cheer on their team in the football playoffs. Dinner was prepared and served by the Suntascans as was the continental breakfast on Sunday morning. Our meetings would not be complete without a rousing game of Bingo which we did on Saturday night. Twenty two rigs were in attendance. We were pleased to welcome two new couples who joined our clubs. |
