Sunbirds have again received the CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLANCE for 2009. Thanks to the officers for their efforts during 2009. The year has gone so fast. GNR came and gone and a few rigs made the trip to Forest City to help celebrate WITSTOCK. Again a few made the trip to Cottonwood Thousand Trails park for the October State Meeting. The November chapter outing was held at Fortuna de Oro park the 3rd weekend of the month and 12 rigs were in attendance. Thursday was arrival day and a traditional potluck was held that evening. Friday was Algodonas trip for some and the marketplace for others. Friday evening everyone carpooled to Don & Merith's home for a great spaghetti dinner. After dinner, the business meeting was conducted by our stalwart secretary. Elections were held and 3 of the 4 offices were filled. President for 2010 is John K. Our current Secretary (John M.) and Treasurer (Alan V.) agreed to continue to hold office. The VP office will be filled at the January chapter meeting (with concurrence of our SW rep, Dan H.). Saturday was another day of leisure and do your own thing. The social hour started early and Don brought out the Super Jenga game. We only achieved 29 rows that day compared to the record of 33. Everyone went to the Foothills Cafe for dinner and many enjoyed the ribs special. Sunday was travel day with one rig as short as 2 miles and others as far as 210. The next chapter meeting will occur at the January State meeting at Augies Quail RV Park in Gila Bend. The state meeting is scheduled for Jan 14-17. The cost will be $85 for 2 people. Just bring your check to the meeting as the State Treasurer will be traveling during Jan. |
