Grand Canyon Winnies Old Winnie
Grand Canyon Winnies
The Grand Canyon Winnies WIT Club was chartered by Winnebago-Itasca Travelers on October 11, 1975. The Club colors are BLUE and GOLD. The Club symbol is a stylized image of a 1970's vintage Winnebago motorhome on a blue background with the dominate colors (red & copper) of the Arizona State flag.

The basic purpose of the Grand Canyon Winnies RV Club is to promote fellowship, friendship, and fun among all club members; to foster and develop recreational, social and travel opportunities for the club members, and to encourage outings on the local and state levels. The club assists the local chapters in planning and managing the Arizona State Rally. The club promotes fellowship, friendship, and fun among all club members, and assists in protecting member's rights as a private RV owner.

Through the years, several chapters have formed, and then dissolved as membership declined. At present, 3 chapters make up the State Club. The club holds an annual meeting in October of each year. Three additional quarterly meetings are held throughout the year, normally on the weekend of the month that includes the third Saturday, starting on Thursday. These meetings, far from being stodgy business affairs, are hosted by one of the club chapters, are well attended and quite lively. A special occasion, the Arizona State Rally occurs every-other year. This 4-day fun-filled event will be held in October, 2008.
